During your training, our expert staff conducts a thorough review of your current CDM to determine the accuracy of descriptions as they relate to the services, supplies and pharmaceuticals offered. This phase of the Management Solution not only looks through all of your fields, but provides expert recommendations on how to optimize your CDM data.

Our experts inspect your CDM to ensure that it’s using up-to-date information, that it covers all provided services and that it avoids any possible compliance issues. We also examine your charging and billing procedures to identify current practices that may lead to denied claims or inefficient charge capture.

Conducted by our strategic partner, the Chargemaster Institute (CMI), the Evaluation portion of CCH ChargeMaster Pro provides a thorough, line-by-line review of your CDM to determine the accuracy of all of your current descriptions as they relate to services, supplies and pharmaceuticals offered by a provider. The experienced team at the Chargemaster Institute has literally reviewed over 4.1 million lines of data. The CMI team not only looks through all of your fields, but provides expert guidance on how to implement any suggested changes.

The CMI experts:

• Conduct a complete Chargemaster review for accuracy of CPT/HCPCS codes, revenue codes, charge analysis, HCPCS description, modifiers and billable/non-billable services
• Check the accuracy of coding, billing and proper revenue codes practices in individual departments
• Review the aspects of the Chargemaster that affect reimbursement and data quality
• Conduct a Core-based Statistical Area (CBSA) Charge Analysis
• Verify accuracy to department charge sheets
• Identify compliance issues and areas of risks

Upon completion of the review, the Institute returns a working CDM document along with an Executive Report of their findings and recommendations, all supported by detailed documentation. This allows your organization to begin the internal management process using a "clean" CDM.
